Asunto: Injuries amount and frequency of injuries

2023-08-12 12:52:18
I like my tactics and they were ok when we did not have so much games ...

Quite a lot of competitive games, we'll need to invest in a larger bench, so they say.
I'm all for having a better bench, but you'll have opponents having luck who only have 11 strong players. Making those teams generally stronger. I only have 11 strong players and up until now, this season hasn't been too bad.
What I try to do is not use strongest team in matches I can "easily" win...

Thus I don't really need a strong bench...
I have a little bit of savings which I can use to replace an injured player.

As long as we'll have the possibility to transfer players whenever we like, I don't think there will be strong subs on the bench (at least not for super rich teams)

Well I have good bench players and I rotate them but 6 at same time is too much..

OK: thanks for additional information. No, I don't want 11 player teams. Next question: If they were reduced, were they REALLY reduced?

Here's what I mean - again, pardon my ignorance if so.

Right now, a 20 year old and a 30 year old don't heal the same. I truly don't recall if this was the same way back in 'the before times'. I guess what I am asking is: did this injury length reduction come at the same time as injury recovery in older players was made worse? (you see where I am going with this?)

--

I also think the frequency is OK. That hasn't really been my argument :) I realize what a poll like this does, but I was more interested in getting more informed on the issue and I see the injury length get glossed over a bit too much.

Older players always healed slower, so it's not a factor in this case :)

OK, good deal. So what we probably 'need' is a slightly lower cap on max injury length. Plus (ideally) repairing the double injury bug.

I am all for getting more accurate information on this.

Injuries, the topic will probably last forever, longer vs shorter against and for etc.. but it's unfair if some people complain about longer bench, that's very realistic and fun to have 5 subs + tactical input now in the game that you can change tactics and impact the game with longer bench. This is what managing is about, tactics and having relatively strong team, now everybody has the choice if they buy 1 or 2 or 11 or even 22 strong players (numbers can be any depending on the budget and other factors). Long Bench was a very good move from Devs big + for that.

Injuries are definitely annoying but part of football, now if there's a bug regarding this, then it should be fixed. If there is a golden way for everybody to be happy, i highly doubt but maybe bringing the possibility in the game that a injuried player still receives training according to how many minutes he played + if the player is selected for advanced training etc... there are ways imo.

both playing for 70+ against CB playing for 28, with 50k value

great friendly game lineup
2023-08-26 01:01:30
And why not?
2023-08-26 01:03:12
well you obviously can do that, but then you shouldn't be surprised the player(s) got injured

same with playing same player in 2 league games + 3rd meaningless friendly against an opponent playing for 30

you can do these things, but it's like asking for the players to get injured
2023-08-26 01:06:13
First player has red card so he needed to play second one not sure in all cases is too much..
2023-08-26 01:08:37
Of course I will never do that and will play safe always but not everyone had this possibility and it always was like this but I think is about time friendlies to be with no injuries safe tactics is waste of day to play interesting game
2023-08-26 01:12:51

I have no idea what you're talking about

what red card? why would a red card matter for a friendly? what does it have to do with anything?

t not everyone had this possibility

everyone has this possibility
and everyone can just NOT put 3 strong offensive players [+2 strong attackers on bench] against a weak friendly opponent who plays for ~30

even if you have such opponent you just use one offensive player who is dispensable and nothing happens if he gets injured
2023-08-26 01:15:03
Red card means next game he will not be able to play so he need some time in friendlies to get full training for the week...
2023-08-26 01:16:15
what are you talking about

a. he got a red last week, already paused
b. the training for last week already happened yesterday
c. this player plays 3 games a week, 2x league + friendly, check his stats

the red card had no meaning here
