Asunto: Straight Red Cards

Actually...there is statistically less disadvantage from injuries and cards VS training, in comparison to the previous playing system ( 1 match and 16 weeks )

1. For cards... in the previous system, a red card ment no training for 2 weeks, coming from league games! This system at least allows you to play again in the next training week for the big %. In the previous system, friendlies were only good for 85% training...
Now you can play for at least 99% in the next training week. The week in which the red card occured stays the same.

The only downside in this system is the friendly, being the first game in stead of the last game. This should change.

2. For injuries... if a player plays 1 game each week, like in the previous system, then you have 1/3th less chance of an injury for that week, for 1 player, compared to the new system.
Devs claimed it would be necessary for managers to have enough players to divide them within the matches.
If you're gonna play them, like you said, for multiple matches, then you, as a manager, increases the chances for injuries yourself.

It's like playing against teams with only 11 players, no subs on the bench or in their squad.
If they are 11 beasts of players, and you are lucky enough they do not get injured, then you can win the league against unlucky teams.
But if you play with 30 players each week, and you can rotate, then you decrease the chance for injuries by at least 50% in comparison to the 11 player team.

More injuries and cards during a training week? Obviously... more matches = more risk
But do you need to risk the same players each match? That's another question.

I'm with Borkos in this one.

For me, only 2 things need to change in this matter.

1) Friendlies on wednesday again, like in previous system.
2) NT / U21 injuries needs to be split from teams, so both squads only need to worry about their own injuries.

I think before you can really comment on red cards etc you need to consider the tactics those teams are using where they get red cards? Are players getting cards due to pressing and/or tackling from behind? Are the cards coming from strikers who have no defending skill but are played too close to opposition midfielders? Are the players in low form?

I don’t believe you can watch a handful (and yes 66 matches in the same league is a handful) and make any claims on anything if you haven’t looked and considered the other factors too.

I’ve had a few reds recent myself but I’ve added to that risk by my tactical choices which I’m aware of. I don’t see a problem with reds as they stand.
