Asunto: [idea] save goalkeepers!

Goalkeepers are becoming worthless as it is too easy to train them. We have to do something about it.
My idea is to introduce technique skill for Goalkeepers and this skill would be specifically on purpose for saving the penalties.
Now there is a mess with penalties and this is a good option to save it:
The engine would determine the "skill to save penalties" by combining Goalkeeping and Technique.
This would make more logic and more options for users how to train the goalkeepers and top GK's would cost more again.
Greets!

Make technique skill important for GKs is a reasonable idea
Another one is to slow down keeper training

Or we can make right column skills, left column sensitive.
This means that a right column skill will reach an earlier ceiling if the left column skills are not high enough to attain divine skills on the right column.
This would do well for all players and right column skills in fact.
The player needs to improve pace, technique and passing in order for him to improve his position skill further as a certain limit.
What if excellent is the limit when he comes out of the school and he can push through after each 3 skill ups at the left side.
So in fact, a player needs 24 skill ups at the left side to be able to reach the maximum ceiling on the right side...being superdivine.
This will not need interference in the ME as it is, but does make training much more challenging.
And in a way it makes sence that players who can play very well on a position, at least can run, control a ball and / or pass a ball decently.

That’s too complicated
Simply add another important GK skill, I proposed it long ago…
1 skill for saving/reaction, 2nd for catching ball (it can be technique)
But that would require changing match engine so wont happen for nearest years

Honestly though it’s not really a problem if everyone trains their own GK and the prices drop.
Why would that be too complicated?
It's 1 adjustment in the training code.

You can train only 10 players and GK IS the most expensive position to train. Why would someone want to train GKs?
When people realize this, they will ask for the opposite: that training keepers should be even easier
Anyways, you don't see triple superdivine keepers so often, so I see no need to change anything at this moment

+1 Terrion
Technique is important for ALL the players, also for GK, in combination with PASSING!

The GK wages are adjusted a bit to a more realistic proportion, but the trainer wages should be adusted as well.
Actually, as it is now, the GK wage should be the least expensive. It's not logical in this system, that the training spot you can use the least, is the most expensive.

yes, GKs need 1 more skill to be trained.
I would like technique. GK will allow to reach the ball and tech to catch it or frequent red cards if tragic tech. Still, ME implementation, not an option for now.
So, anything else to prevent young 2x18 would be great

It's 1 adjustment in the training code.
Even if it's a short adjustment to the code, it's a very complicated idea in terms of how it will impact the game, the training, the fun of training etc. It would also make the whole process of training more complicated for new/less active users. See how a simple change of "advanced training" turned out to be too complicated for many people who thought that they can effectively train 15, 20 or 30 players.
In other words: it's not worth it. Also not really needed.

yes and no
obviously you're referring to the wages, but it's not most expensive if you train youngsters only in GK up to divine and then sell them
remember that even if you don't train a GK, you still need one for your team, so you will still have to pay the wage
but yes, GK training is not really a good idea, you can make much more on other positions, but it's very easy and you can get decent trainees for very low prices

In this phylosophy....let's shut down the game for new users...it's too complicated, period.
I mean...the rules are outdated from before all changes were made. Obviously newcomers have a hard time...
rules and game are 2 different things.
If we cannot come with new ideas because the devs have no time anyways, and because it's gonna be too complicated, then we do not need this forum.
Also, changing an old page to a new one is already too complicated, cause we are 3 years into the very first development, which has been processed for about 60% by now.
All new pages are here in 2030...then we have another 10 years to get the youth done. hoo boy, this is exhausting.

my point is: don't overcomplicate things that work if it doesn't give anything extra to the game experience because it's a waste of time and resources

not only newcomers, lots of long time users who didn't understand how the new training works
even 3 weeks ago I talked with a guy playing from 2009, he was surprised that he can train more than his 2 goalkeepers

there are good ideas, this one simply isn't one of them (in my opinion)
it brings nothing positive to the game, it's not a new feature, it just complicates something that already works fine - just to force on people the order of skills in training

That was the exact reason of my proposal...because the GK training doesn't work fine anymore.
But let's just end this discussion to me proposing the suggestion I made and you disagreeing with it.
Im actually very convinced all the ideas and proposals aren't being evaluated anyways.
They simply don't have time for this.
