The reform was to take money out of the game. That’s what it was. They’ll sell it to you as something else though.

I wonder if theres any data that shows the reform succeeded in terms of taking money out of the game

How can we lower expectations? Sell players, start losing games?
2024-11-12 18:17:39
if you're sitting on a huge bank balance, I'm not sure it's possible.
2024-11-12 22:32:27
No i am almost broke because I can't afford 500k wages in 1st league with 350k income from tickets ...
2024-11-12 23:42:51
Did you try to lower ticket prices a little bit?
2024-11-12 23:55:55
Yeah, they were higher last two games and before the last one i reduced all for 1-2€ and got 100k less..
2024-11-13 14:29:20
yeah, I can tell you ticket prices for me were not the problem. I have my prices well dialed in based on the past two seasons, adjusting for both the quality of opponent and their fan base/probable happiness.
As soon as my expectations increased, fans stopped coming unless I dropped prices meaningfully. Despite performing at/above the expectations set.

I am almost 100% sure the problem is expectations are what is causing the issue with lower ticket income. They are set to 50% happiness so doing what the fans expect actually punishes you, and if your expectation is top 3 then it is next to impossible to make them happy enough to show back up at old known prices. In my case last season they expected "top half" but it wasn't until I spent an extended period of time in second place did they finally act happier. The only reason I managed to do that was because the actual second best team (Atlantic FC) had an absurd amount of ME misfortune last season.

Takes money out of the game? Sure. But it punishes clubs who are trying to win, and it harms poorer clubs more than already wealthy ones.

Nice job Sokker!"

Why does this happen?
2024-11-19 08:07:22
it's an old sokker mechanism, worked that way since the beginning or at least since many years ago - his league is too weak for him and he kind of reached the fans "limit" on that level
2024-11-19 09:15:50
ok but then shouldnt the fans just stay constant? is limit of fans constant or dynamic?
2024-11-19 09:17:51
There is also a random factor.
2024-11-19 10:21:12
borkos007 para Tad
there's a random factor, in last weeks I had fans coming in (+1, +2) and this week after winning all games I've got -4.

cometer para Tad
On top of the random factor the limit I believe changes based on how many fans everyone else in the league has, so if they’re human users they will catch up and as they do the team being limited will gain fans again.

Bots on the other hand don’t improve fan bases. Curse of smaller nations.

There is still a cap at some point though.
