Asunto: Fans expectations

You just repeated yourself 100% and didnt answer to any of My suggestions.

I think its easy to fix the problems they caused on tons of fans Leaving and I just told you how.

I think we’re misunderstanding each other here as we’re discussing the same side. I’m saying they need to fix expectations but I have doubts that they can based on what they’ve done so far. They’d almost need to throw it completely away and start again.

So if they can’t or are not willing to fix expectations then they have to fix fan club size calculation.

I agree that expectations need to be fixed but I still don’t think they’ll be able to achieve that because they’ve been fixated on their current ideology of how expectations should work.

We Are only discussing same side when stating its broken. But while you want a complete new attempt and keep talking about fanbase needs to be reworked now too im less pessimistic about how to fix it.

As said before. Make the expectations grade more fleksible. If you Are somewhat close to target but not fullfilling (2-3 spots) you shouldnt have same furious fans as if you missed target by 5+ places. If you Fullfill your target you shouldnt have mediocre fan mood but happy fans closer to whats its like with huge success.
Dont have the entire league having to high expectations (for instance like 3 teams demanding championship) because it will lead to more unsatisfied then happy.
And winning league should always means more then just satisfied Even if expected.

That way you dont have downward spiral in fans and Are fixing the errors in the system.

Ultimatively fans Are the control mechanism to ticket revenues and sponsor income, those could easily just be decreased (or increased) by reducing how much each fan contribute with. That is a much smaller operation and less fuckable a system then trying with expectations.

The expectations system was meant (officially) to punish players underachieving or not playing competitive with a huge bankroll. Not to drain ticket income and sponsorship from all, which this over time will do. And I also deeply urge them to stop controlling inflation that way, cause being competitive And playing in top is one huge loss of squad value as they get older, and the top teams dont run in notice able plus on operation balance.

To bring competitiveness into the game we need higher income on operating balance when performing well, and instead more expenses on training to counter inflation.

A 75+ team i would estimate lose around 1,5 m eu on each outfield player in 1st team a season. Nowhere in results such money Are achived.

So I don’t want a completely new expectation system and agree with what you had suggested. I also don’t want them to touch fan size, I only wanted it changed if the current expectations wasn’t fixed.

On top do what you suggested you would also need to deal with the weekly fluctuations on ladder system as a result of an unfavourable draw structure. The idea that you get get a few draws to start the season and are sitting 9th when you end up finishing 2nd is also too punishing.

However, yeah I am more pessimistic about their ability to achieve those suggestions on a global scale where those things work and that’s based on their past experiences. Hope I’m proven wrong here.

In a game with so much random, the fixed league draw system is wrong imo. THAT should be random!
Next to that, they need to separate fans expectations from a new feature... board expectations!
The fans and the board should both have their own expectations and revenue should be based on fans expectations and sponsor income from board expectations.
Also, when an expectation is still possible to achieve, then the fans and / or sponsors should not be thrilled but also not furious.
And the most stupid system of all these within this topic is the fact that fans revenue is dependent on other teams fansize... This is completely unrealistic and stupid imo.
If your team is still running for it's achievements, then the fans should still be eager to come to the stadium, regardless of the opponents fansize. A smaller fluctuation, based on the ''ranking'' of the opponent within the league...now that is realistic.

Attendance is both related to the attractiveness (=fanbase) of your club and the opponent. There are small clubs with low fanbase where even Bayern in Bundesliga can't get high attendance. And vise versa, Hannover 96 vs. Hamburger SV in second division with 60000 stadium visitors.

3) (over)complex proposal, complicated to implement and balance

Your answer on 1 is entirely different from what board expectations could and should be... Like I said, it should be similar to fans expectations, but seperated from the revenue calculator. Fans don't not come to the stadium because the team is failing the boards expectations. They stay away if the team is not living up to the fans expectations. That was the entire idea behind this.

2) Attendance is based on your fanbase... agree! ...And the opponent... disagree to a certain amount. It's not the opponents fanbase that will decide your turnout of fans coming to the stadium, only THEIR turnout of fans. And in the league, only 5 to max 10% off all places are reserved for opponent fans. So a revenue of less than 50% should be impossible if your team is doing fine and your opponent is playing bad. Rather I feel a drop down of max 15% should be justified... 40 to 70% less is just rudely unrealistic.

3) Everything is complicated to implement...even an adjustment to make coaches retire took them 20 years...
But it's not because it might be difficult to implement, that the proposal should not be made. In this phylosophy we would still be living in the stone ages...

I agree opponent fansize has too much influence in outcome of sold tickets, but there must be quite some still.... psg vs bottom team in French league will bring much less supporters then if they meet real Madrid. Even prices Are higher at the Madrid match and Even season card holders need new tickets. Another gave perfect example of hannover vs hsv 60 k attendance i second league cause they are famous clubs.

But fanbase is a good component too, because its the most exact component to see if its a club having success or not competitively over some recent time, and thereby if the match should be exciting

Irl I would agree, but here in Sokker you can play against a botteam...That doesn't exist irl.

Am having great success as #2 with top half expectations so it should also depend on rest of the league expectations

Its not te same for all having same expectations and place Ina table. Its always depends what expectations have other teams too.

In stronger league beeing second would result with great success.
In weaker one beeing second would give you just above expectations result.

Certainly possible.
I had literally half the league with top half expectations last season.
I was really annoyed with it.
