top half of the table
achieveing a goal = 50% (yes, it is a bit missleading)
Think about it like 70% is more than 50%.
great success -> 100%
above expectations -> 70%
goal achieved -> 50%
below expectations -> 30%
total failure -> 0%
+ influence from recent matches results makes 77% which is pretty nice when you think about it, that achieveing a goal is at 50% line.

Maybe a change in the way how things are represented might be a good idea?

Fans expectations:
-Previous season: great succes
-Current season: Above expectations
-Recent matches: Very happy (92% succes rate)
-Season satisfaction; delighted (70% succes rate) -> Mood
I mean...what can someone expect from ''level of satisfaction with fulfillment expectations'' ? What does this actually represent? I think this line is not necessary.
Just place that line in the mood bar as a %. I think that's more than enough and it will give a more clear representation of how your fans think of your club, without making their managers nervous for nothing.

I agree. Representation is a bit messy. There are many ways it could be done better.
so if i was 6th or 2nd does not make any difference? or just 1st does make a difference?
is it somewhere in the rules explained?
can't find it the supporters part...

If you were 6th you’d likely be like 50% instead of 70% as you’d only have met expectations most likely rather than above expectations.
again, it's all about 50% being the baseline, and the punishment on fan support for home games for me.
I understand money needs to come out of the game, but the focus should stay on transfers only. Having stadium income penalized harms smaller/newer teams much more since they are usually reliant on stadium income to stay competitive.
Although I will say that the second run you ran this season ending seems to have worked out more reasonably, at least for me (versus the initial).

I'm also afraid it only hurts teams who want to be competitive. Farm teams are at mood 0 anyway and don't care about it. + Farmed money will be worth a lot more coming years because of lower prices for players and trainees.
It's really urgent imo to give rewards to teams who are winning something. Financial compensation, a fixed supporterboost who can' be taken away relative to other teams, ...
Don't forget that money is lost because of your own mood and supporters but also because of the weakening of the other teams in the league.

Nah, it hurst farm teams financially as well, unless you're losing every game 0:10 at lowest level, but that's just stupid.
I was able to play at 4th level in PL while farming and still getting GREAT money from sponsors and tickets, after the changes it was much worse (because they expected me to win the league while training 16-17yos, so even 3rd place was total failure for them).
I'm not sure though that this change was actually positive game-wise. In my case:
Before:
I was playing competitively at 4th level, buying old but decent players from time to time to get some wins, even while training, because it gave me at least part of the money back in sponsors/tickets
Now:
Whether I lose or win at 4th level doesn't matter because my fans are depressed anyway, so there's no point in investing into the team, since I won't get any of that money back.
So my current "gameplan" is:
winning 5th league = good fanmood
going to 4th with good fanmood from previous season expectation
not investing anything, because what's the point, I'm not winning the 4th league anyway and that's the expectations I will get
going down to 5th
changing my 40yos to 36yos for peanuts
winning the the 5th league
(...)
that's an unfortunate, but only "profitable" scenario for my team, unless I invest heavily and start promoting every season.
so in short: before I was playing for results at 4th level / now I'm +/- having the same financial budget from club operations, but I ignore the seasons at 4th level
...and at the same time it's easier this way to make money via training / it's easier to train

You're winning sometimes... :-P
I haven't done the math for your scenario, maybe you did, but IMO it's much less profitable than buying old players for 1zl-50k and playing between IVth and 5th level
Plus it's less suicidal for the fanclub :P

I did the math. It is not financial advisable to do what I'm doing, you're right :P
But I don't care about the let's say 1-2 mln € deficit per season.

But there is more risk for injuries for the trainees. An injury for an important trainee costs a lot too!
One other possible suggestion, in lieu of my other one (resetting the baseline of fan happiness).
Actually give everyone a place prediction 1 to 12. That way it is now, I could have top half which would literally mean 6th place or better, but there's no fan improvement really between 6th and say 3rd, or even 2nd (last season, I was most of the season).
That way if a team is predicted to finish 4th and they are currently in 2nd, they would get a fan support boost.

There's actually already a different expectations threshold between teams that have same (in theory) expectations, like "top half of table". For some 4th will be more fulfilling for fans than for others.
