but there's not a fixed number of weeks where you can say that that value is reliable

But there is a tool. You may use coefficient of correlation beside talent in SA then it could help app (or users) to filter unreliable talents.

There is no such thing in Dev goals (except maybe a "Junior analyst position") don't except anything more "accurate". Plus, sokker is very linear and predictable in term of player progression, devs introduce a "trick" (coach errors) for a "good reason" there's no way they're going to go back on that.

Well, it was put forward that one of the levels of the analyst you mention would supposedly give "Precise measurement of jumps". I mean, if we're not given any tools to influence the actual development of juniors' skills, I certainly hope they at least follow through and deliver on this one. The current estimation system is too tiresome and annoying in my opinion.

I think they already abandoned that idea (and GOOD that they did, it was terrible).

You can find it on forum. Basically it would change nothing except for the fact that you would have to pay additionally for everything in youth school. For example you would have to pay TO BE ABLE to hire a coach at x level. Amazing change.

And there wouldn't be 100% precise measurements of jumps. You would simply have to pay additionally for the coach to have the measurements as they are now, otherwise they would have even more errors without paying. That was the genius idea for fixing youth school that they presented ~3 years ago.

Hmm, I might've missed some posterior message, but a year ago, on page 2 in this thread, Raul mentions that he wants to keep the analyst position, which is presented on page 1 with the possibility of more or less going back to the old system (for more money, of course):

Analytics - allows for effectively measuring the progress of juniors and assessing their level. This parameter will determine how thoroughly we want to track the progress of our juniors, where the basic level corresponds to the current evaluation system. Subsequent levels will allow us to get closer to the previous system (older users will probably remember) which measured the progress of juniors with full accuracy. Of course, subsequent levels will increase the cost of maintaining a junior:

Basic level of junior assessment
More effective measurement of jumps +1
More effective measurement of jumps +1
Suggested position for new juniors
Precise measurement of jumps

Yeah, maybe he proposed that in the 2nd draft a year ago...

Honestly I don't see that as having a huge impact, measuring talent is not a big issue. The big issue is that there is often nobody / almost nobody worth talent measuring. My whole value of plays in youth school currently will be probably lower than 50k euro. I don't care about talent of any youth that I've got, they will be trash anyway.

Anyway from what I remember Raul gave that proposition a year ago and then after one day completely changed his mind when he saw that people didn't like the idea. Apparently though a year has gone and they still haven't even started doing anything about the youth schools so good luck, maybe in 2026 we will see a change...

Yeah, they have to do international tournament first, I guess, so 2026 is no doubt the earliest perspective.

I see your point concerning the talent mass, though. Or lack thereof, for some. Let's hope they don't forget to take a look at the talent distribution, so we get a more just system for everyone.

Their idea was to "flatten" the talent but according to what Mikoos wrote what Raul said that they were planning to do would probably ruin the whole youth system because there would be barely any youths with talent 4 or less, most would have terrible talent.

yes, Rauls project to make sokker players worse and sokker in general more independent from luck

but a good game needs both: the technical and strategical aspect - to reward managers for good work in tactics and training - and also the luck aspect to keep always hope alive. The hope for a extraordinary youth pull is essential to keep managers in the game.
