Asunto: The Detriment of Bloated Football Rosters: A Call for Fair Play

Football games should be a place where strategy, competition, and investment go hand in hand. However, the current situation with football rosters exceeding 25 players is a disgrace. This chaotic trend does nothing but widen the gap between the wealthy and newcomers, discouraging fresh players from investing and loving the sokker.

Rich teams hoard talent, making it nearly impossible for smaller or newer teams to compete fairly. This imbalance ruins the competitive spirit and makes it difficult for fresh enthusiasts to feel motivated to build their dream squads.

The solution is simple and fair: impose a maximum roster limit of 25 players. If a manager wants to acquire a new player, they should be required to release one from their squad. This would maintain balance, foster better competition, and keep the game enjoyable for everyone involved. Let's level the playing field and bring back the true spirit of football management!

What do you mean, "hoard talent"? Everybody is limited to 10 Advanced Training places. Help me understand the problem?

Also, the owners actually encourage users to have a big squad.

To not mention you lose value on everybody not trained in advanced training, so its No advantage
2025-02-02 00:59:08
It's not an advantage. But in the meantime you take away good players from other poorer buyers

https://sokker.org/it/app/squad/74325/

Why 45 player??? and maybe he took away a player that I could have bought and made him play.

I would also set a maximum ceiling for a team's salaries. NBA style. And squad of maximum 25 players

Have you also been drinking toothpaste
2025-02-02 01:52:18
That dude hasn't bought a single player since september last year. And you joined the game november last year...

What's the real issue here?

I'm proposing a simple rule to prevent the rich from getting richer and the poor from getting poorer.

That is:
Squads with a maximum of 25 players.

If we want to further protect poorer teams, we should also consider implementing a salary cap for club contracts.

The problem with Sokker is that there are clubs that are too wealthy, and there are too many disadvantages for newly registered users.

But dont you get it, everybody gets poorer for each player they have more then 10. Your premise of what you want to achieve isnt being handled by smaller squads. I agree it sucks to be newstarter, but this doesnt solve a thing there. And the number of teams with big roosters Are small, especially because, its a loss in club value
2025-02-02 04:15:14
Also the player you showed. Did you see how many of his players that were bought for free and Are worth nothing. He didnt steal market.
2025-02-02 04:18:21
Before the sales taxes People were trying to hoard old players though to make money on by selling better or at least get good results for minimum loss value... but after they introduced the latest sales taxes this was fixed

Your solution here does nothing to reduce that gap. It actually extends it as adaca has said. You can only train 10, the rest all take wage payments (so that's money out of the game) and older players not receiving training (well any players actually) deteriorate in resale value the longer they're kept. So a reduction in squad limits actually helps richer teams as they'd pay less for wages.

The tricky thing to calculate here is by having so much depth how much does that add up to better results and better income revenue as a result of that depth. If none of the first XI get suspended or injured then that difference is 0. Assuming injuries etc then yeah perhaps that has some merit, however limiting to 25 instead of say unlimited is highly unlikely to make a scrap of difference here either, You'd need to have something like 20 limit to notice anything and then that impacts other sides and not just the richer teams.

Basically, you have to deal with your means and if that means only scraps then you take that and build up your assets over time. This is compounded if you're in a smaller nation obviously or one that can't get the best access of the transfer market due to timezones.

Here we go again....
Let me rephrase it.

"This is made easier, if you're in a small nation, because you can train youngsters much more easily, get the chance to play in the Champions Cup and not have to spend tons of money to stay at the top as in Ekstraklasa”.

Perhaps what I mean is not clear, so I'll try to explain it with an example.
I wanted to buy a specific player, but a manager with 40 players outbid me.
To me, this situation is unacceptable; it harms small managers like me.
It would have been better if that manager with 40 players had not participated in the auction.

The players you claim are worthless are seen that way because you are already wealthy managers.
For me, however, those players are essential; they are the foundation to start from.
Having them snatched away by these types of managers or seeing their prices rise is harmful to small managers.
2025-02-02 12:18:48
The fact that you were outbid is because the player had a market value higher than you were able or willing to pay. That's it. Nothing else.

You've only spent some 2 months in this game, and you need to accept that you can't buy or upgrade everything right away. Lower your requirements for now and you'll be fine. Yes, it's hard to get started, but with patience you'll get there eventually.

I still get outbid for players even though I have funds enough to buy them. The market value (and some luck) is what matters.

This is my suggestion, which you will probably throw down the toilet, is to make more fair rules between rich teams and poor teams.
Must:
Limit the numbers of players in a squad. It doesn't exist in any football game or in the reality of having teams of 50 players, there are lists.
And then another smart thing would be the maximum salary cap per team

I won't continue this thread anymore because I see that you are quite closed off with new ideas to improve the game. Good luck to everyone, including me
