We won 12-0. Nice score, considering we used more youngsters than last time,when we won 18 -0, and the difference was only 1 shot(quantity). Glad to see the debut of GK Hadad starting with a goal :) THe idea to put him shooting the penalty was a right call :) And generally glad to see the young lads of Israel played well this game.

yep, I know he has a good record for a GK: 23 goals and 12 assists, but usually I don't pay attention to their club history, cause managers may do with them whatever they want. I just pay attention to info that is NT related :)

12 assists mean that at least dozen of his penalties were rebound. What about wide or high balls and shots that are caught by the keeper?

WoW a hard win against Guatemala... I am used to see Guatemala perform well, but not against me :)

By seeing this match you can understand how many imperfections the current ME has:

Monster strikers(ours) stopped by average defs(for nt level), while their weaker strikers aren't stopped by our 2xdiviners...

The mids play a bit stupid, while the winger is free, they decide to go upfront and get tackled by the def. Even the first goal was scored due to Dvir's decision to go and take a shot, he did, but Awabed said: Bad boy, Dvir, bad boy! Let me cover this up for you, so you won't get critisized by our coach. So Awabed headed the ball like a sniper.

Overall about the game I must say Conejos made the difference today, and we won deserved, despite the low score (only 1-2), and generally I'm not disappointed in our performance. It's just a match were the ME was against me ( rare situation). I know such matches when the weaker team are favorized by the ME, and they get a draw or even win. When I saw it's 1-1 I closed the freaking match was too nervous and thought : We draw 1-1 or have again lots of shots and scrape a 2-1 win from this match. I really remember what Guatemala did in past seasons: win 1-0 against France with 1-11 shots a 2-2 or smthng like that with Germany if i recall correctly, that 3-3 with Serbia, now they almost got a draw with us.


P.S. I am satisfied after this matchday: 1. we keep our first position in the group. 2. we still have the goal advantage in front of our biggest rival in this group: Serbia. Also I anticipate the critics that may arise like the players I used in defense.. or why I didn't play Antler, but fielded Levi, why Segev and many other issues. Looking forward to get some questions or just simple constructive critics from you fellows. I thought I would be assaulted for the whole season with debates and critics, but so far it goes pretty easy. :)

4-4 against USA. To be honest I am really disappointed, though i was severely lacking time to prepare the match and I think you have all the reasons to be mad on me. I had some event (one of them was a wedding) that made me unable to reach the internet so I quickly put the line-up I used vs Lietuva(even same orders). And we played a 4-4... despite the fact we were leading. I thought we would lose lots of points and ranking position...but : We lost only 10 points and gone up 1 position :)


Now Israel is ranked recordly for this NT at nr 7. I must say thanks to Suomi, that beat 7-0 Germany! I hope til the end of the season, I will have only wins so Israel can strengthen it's position in the Ranking.
