Today we faced Australia, and despite having a man advantage the entire game due to a red card in the 4th minute (fortunately for Australia, it was in a good location) we still got dominated, 2-0.

If you guys watch the game, it's the same old story. We're too slow, especially on defense, and we're too poor in tech. These match scores get inflated by primary skills like defense, playmaking, and passing...but we can't make plays if we lose every 50/50 - or don't even get there to begin with. They must have had 5 clean runs at the goalie one on one because our defense is still too slow. Even the 21 year olds. I've built my own personal team the opposite and although they will take a little longer to peak, they are already in USA ML and this is after just a year (3 full seasons). Three of my six core trainees are starters at this point.

I understand everyone's obsession with main stat training, but I'm of the belief it just generates artificially high match ratings (except for goalkeepers).
I also am still waiting for Gershon to break out, he's in superdivine form but still doesn't produce :(

Ah well, we'll get as far in the playoffs as we can, but there's not a whole lot more I can do if we can't beat Australia with 10 men.

Dear brother, it's not that we're obsessed with main skkills...
first of all I don't know how many NT players belong to coaches from Israel.
Second thing, every team probably has 10 trainers who all have to be taken into account, and with me specifically, most of them have to get other qualities because they already have Pace.
Its true, I have 2 defensive players in the team who need more pace, and they get it in a defensive combination. But you have to understand that it is very difficult to change a training program for a player or two.

I understand the problem,i know that well , but ypu have to get use to it you are coaching of weak NT ,this is what it is :/
maybe think about a lower defensive line like teams with a slow defense do, play on a small satdium which is something you already know, and reduce the spaces between the players.

we understand the quality and the level of our NT's and we are not expect from you to do someting impossible so its ok.

We don't even have 5 defenders to play a back 5. It would literally be your 18 year old who is great for the age but his tech is a big liability right now. He's 18 though, its to be expected.
I can't really play Asher in the midfield for long - he's amazing - but he's got poor stamina. He's dead after 30 minutes or so.

Sorry about the rant though. I did not expect this result.

next season Ben Gabay will be brilliant pace , and Gal Laluz will be formidable/outstanding if they wont injury of course,

when Gal Laluz will be 21 age years old im expecting for him to be at least double magical ;)

and we are small comunity , its very difficult to grow and pull good players .
the senior NT are weak too and i need to do a lot of tricks to get good results and even it not succed , its ok, try to do your best and everything is cool brother

I think it’s not that we are just a small community, most of the youth squad providers are the six first teams in the “ligat ha’al” of Israel, and it means that we practice only 4-5 young Israelis players in age 16-21 (in the good case), and except them we are deal only in getting good scores, or even being the champions.

I guess that in a bigger communities, big providers of the junior national team are from 2nd or 3rd leagues, and there they hold even 10 trainers age 16-21.

We need maybe a better connection with users in abroad who holds Israeli players, to push them / teach them how to build their Israeli players on their maximum skill, so they won’t spend our talents which are anyway a several players at all.

It can definitely be frustrating, and I have had my fair share of rants in the past (and guaranteed there will be more to come), but it is definitely the challenge of a small community.

I have managed to help build Australia up to what it is now, but there are still only a core number of teams that actually contribute to the NT, both in academies and training (and a few more with good intentions but poor execution).

Some people enjoy the challenge, and others don't. Often there are players that are so good compared to their peers that they could play multiple positions, and then areas that are severely lacking, but when it comes to skills, you need to compare yourself to other nations with similar numbers of total users (because guaranteed in all those countries, there are less than half their number contributing to NT).

Australia has had a bunch of non-Aussies coach who often feel we are weak in x and y position, because they have different standards.

Israel I still feel are the team most likely to beat Australia in the final, although India are always a strong team in the Asian cup.

Good luck with the rest of the tournament, it sounds like you have some great managers here who are interactive and care about the Israel NT

I have actually reached out to almost anyone who owns a player on the roster right now. Now that my health issues are...mitigated...I had the time to really dig in to the youth this offseason.

So far, the cooperation has been good.

I apologize, I just couldn't envision getting beat like this. Our tactical options are extremely limited right now, both in the back and in the midfield. I can't just ask Asher's owner to train stamina for a couple weeks. I might do it, but long term it doesn't make sense. He's an absolute stud but with poor stamina he's a sub only. I didn't expect to beat Australia - especially in a first match - but boy that was just really demoralizing :(

You're doing just fine, bro. I'm sure we'll slowly see it on the scoreboard as well. And even if not - we are a small and select community with limited potential, so even small achievements or surprising victories can make us happy. Everything is fine :) Only health is above all!

Today we played UAE in the Cup semis, and unfortunately, we got blasted 5-2. This is one of many scenarios where team score is nonsense, because it undervalues certain skills that I find much more valuable than the engine does.
Khaled of UAE basically had his way with us. When he wasn't reaching loose balls sooner, he was breaking tackle after tackle after tackle. He scored or assisted on all 5 goals.

Normally when I see a team with a noticeably lower team score I play aggressively, but this backfired because of him today. I guess that's the last time I try three at the back with this team.

this season is to undertand the team you have and some tactics , anyway , i think 3 defenders in sokker is not worth something

I use it in my own team, and even in ML I've used it against some teams. Even giving away team score. I'm in third place right now with a pathetic team score. This will probably change in the next month though, as the top4 teams play me back to back in the next 6-7 games.

Chios is in last place now, but he's been in ML forever. I played him early in the season.

Here. I used an anti-trap version against the current top team in USA A1 https://sokker.org/comment?matchID=41036422

Like any other tactic, team construction matters.

This weekend we faced India in the bronze medal game of the Asian Cup. It was a solid performance by the boys in blue: https://sokker.org/comment/matchID/41043982
India had some good team speed but we did a nice job counterattacking tonight.

I also want to congratulate Australia for winning the Cup with a 1-0 victory over UAE in the final.

Next week, we have a friendly with Guatemala. We have no more tournaments this offseason, due to a combination of mass confusion over when the Asian Cup was running, and my hospitalization.

Saturday morning, we had a friendly with Guatemala.

It was a defensive struggle, but we came out with a 1-0 victory. Israel's defense held Guatemala to ONE shot on goal. In fact they were so solid the goalie Stelmac got a low score :)

https://sokker.org/comment/matchID/41049134

The lone goal was scored by Ehud Dorani, his 8th goal in 9 starts for the national team. The Guatemalan goalkeeper made an error handling the ball and Dorani pounced on it in the 25th minute.

Next week we have a friendly with New Zealand.

OK guys, I apologize for being inactive, but I am finding that managing in USA ML has been really time consuming. It hasn't been a problem keeping the friendlies going.
I'll prune the rest of the 21 year olds today, and review the guys on the watch list, but the roster is fairly locked in.

I will give this team the focus it deserves next season if you want to re-elect me, but after next season - IF my main team continues to be a lot of work (my team is like the 10th weakest last season, and I finished 5th with it - then I will voluntarily step down and let someone else start the new cycle clean next season.
