I think he didn't mean it. Israeli Community should thank to Arnau for his work for sure. You did a great job during last month. ;)

We, admins, do not need to do such a work in forums. We are doing it for the benefit of the communities when it is asked. This is a favour by us. So, please guys say your thanks to Arnau for his work.

OK Mr. Duran,

It might have come off a little harsh but after reading your posts I still hold onto the belief that you shouldn't be the one welcoming new people in this community. I'll tell you why:

1. You are irresponsible! This is a small community we have here and e-v-e-r-y user is important. Thus, people who wait too long to be welcomed might decide it's not worth the effort. We fight for every user here! So, going on a little vacation, even for 5 days and not asking anyone to fill in for you, is irresponsible. I couldn't care less about your holidays, and even though I'm glad you had fun in Prague which is a great city, your duty to your position should have been better handled.

2. The point about "piggy-riding" refers to holding a junior admin position such as the welcoming representative, and then after proving yourself in that, perhaps getting a higher position as the admin of the Spanish community. So, if doing the welcoming for us was only a stop on the way for a better job, this was piggy-riding for a better position.

3. I was a little harsh, though not rude. And for being harsh on someone whom I believe did not fulfil his duty, is alright by me. I sincerely apologise if you were insulted, but my comments were strictly professional and not inferring in any way on your personality.

4. Chaglar is a great person and regardless of your performance, I think Chaglar is a very good choice for most jobs, so obviously I'm happy he is now doing this.

5. I wish you personally the best of luck and better success next time.

6. No hard feelings.

7. ;-)

OK, thank you for the answer. I'm sorry if I was a little rude too... ;)

btw:

1. You are irresponsible! This is a small community we have here and e-v-e-r-y user is important. Thus, people who wait too long to be welcomed might decide it's not worth the effort. I asked for help in admin forum, although for some reason they forgot to clean your list (it's not his fault, I should have reminded them when I logged on from Prague too).
And not only israeli users are important, every user is important in Sokker too.

Maybe I'm silly, but I still don't understand at all. So you are saying that I took over Israeli registrations because I wanted to get a better job?? I took them because user Israeli user Ashran (I think) asked me to!
And, as far as I know, all admins are at the same level. There are not Superadmins nor Junior-admins.

4. Chaglar is a great person and regardless of your performance, I think Chaglar is a very good choice for most jobs, so obviously I'm happy he is now doing this.

I don't doubt he's a great person :)

And that little discussion is over now.

i really don't understand your problem, and as i told you before
this job has been done by chaglar and arnau on a good will basis
cause it's not a part of their job as admins, they do it because
individuals asked them to do it, and they accepted, you are totally
overreacting here
2007-08-21 11:15:39
:)
Dave, this was presented to me in a totally different way and it is also my prerogative to voice my opinion. I might have misunderstood the volentary concept of their position but for some reason Chaglar's handling of t/his issue was different.
Besides,... I'm not over-reacting, I'm merely voicing my opinion... it is not as if I can ban anyone, right?! :P

So, please welcome... :)
