We are facing Österreich this weekend in 1/8 final round of the Mini World Cup.
We have played Österreich one time before.
2006-12-02, Ísland - Österreich 2:6

Österreich almost qualified in the World Cup and got 17 points, one point after Canada.

Island averagre rate: 55.6
Österreich average rate: 61.7

Österreich got some nasty injuries an some of their top players like Jiri Garstenauer 1108724, Frank Konsel 2578580, Dieter Löckher 2666373 and Angelo Niederreiter 1107481.
These players has all played a lot of matches for them and it´s good for us that they can´t play but Österreich has some nice players to put in instead like
Christian Köppel 3638710 as defender, Dieter Mählich 5940699 in the midfield and Alexander Lindenberger 4679860 up front.

We will play a 5-4-1 tactic today, we need a wide defence because i think österreich will use wingers… we will also use one to put passes to our single striker.

Goalkeeper:
Olgeir is back this time, he will have a hard time today i think, hopefully he has a good day.

Defenders:
Even Dybdal, Atli Már Thomasson, Gustav Sveinbjörnsson, Þorkell Skúlason and Finn Sjøberg will take care of the defence.

Midfield:
We have Björn Þór Edvínsson as defensive mid, then Viðar Sæmundsson and Hlöðver Ásþórsson as central mids, Sturlaugsson take the winger place on the left side.

Strikers:
On top we have Jon Bjelland all alone, he has divine form and i think he can score one or two goals today.

We shall go out and fight for a victory today… again…

This was a good easter gift :D

1-0 against a very strong Österreich feels great!
They had the most of the possesions but didn´t create anything really dangerous... Bjelland on the other hand had some nice shots and scored one.

Österreich got 2 red cards wich helped a lot of course...

Now we play Quarterfinal :D

haha nice. Our group continues to march on :). Osterreich made the mistake of playing a lone striker I feel. Gave you a defensive boost and was enough to see you steal the win late in the match.

Thought you could do it, I even stated so ;).
