We are facing Uruguay this weekend.
We have played them one time before.
2007-01-13, Ísland - Uruguay 1:3
Uruguay has recently played in the World Cup since they did a nice qualification round.

They have better players for sure but hopefully we have a good day ;D
Uruguay has a big squad and the best players we probably will face will be Sebastián Yarza 1948894 as defender, Jonathan De Simone 1096531 in the midfield and Atahualpa Dalmonte 4575755 up front.
I will come back with the squad and tactics just before the match on Saturday.

Olgeir will have a hard time today i think, hopefully he has a good day.

Even Dybdal, Atli Már Thomasson, Gustav Sveinbjörnsson, Þorkell Skúlason and Finn Sjøberg will take care of the defence, 3 in a row and on up front.
Midfield:
Atli Már Johnsson and Björn Þór Edvínsson will take care of the wingers, then Viðar Sæmundsson and Halfdan Ludvigsen as central mids, Sturlaugsson take the winger place on the left side.
Strikers:
On top we have Jon Bjelland all alone, he has great form and i think he can score one or two goals today.
We shall go out and fight for a victory as always!

Ok, we playd 1-1 towards Uruguay and i am happy about teh result.
It was a tight game with only 5 shots towards the goals, Bjelland got 1 and thats enough since he scored.
The tactic worked very well, we took their winger wich was important, meanwhile our winger Sturlaugsson made som nice passes into the penalty box.
As mentioned, Bjelland scored once but he was an easy target for the Uruguay defenders wich was to though for him. I think he lacks some technique and/or speed.
But, 1-1 towards a team that qualified to the World Cup is great!
