Asunto: [NT U21]
Will Harðar Svanlaugsson get any playtime? or will he be in back-up?
A 0-3 loss against Scotland (U19-match) but it wasn't that bad. Scotland had a much more stronger team and i'm satisfied with the result. We have big problems to score both in U19 and U21, but we'll keep on working on it ;)
Next friday was booked against Ireland but the Irish coach have mixed up his schedule and we now must look for another opponent... bad :(

Just a question - why do you play against stronger nations?
Cause i have a to strong confidence and i need a snap on my nose ;)
No... i'd try to arrange equal opponents but that don't always make out... and this season is only friendlys so i think it's good to finally find a tactic who works good against stronger teams. We need that next season :)

btw one question too why you dont try play with one winger... i remember match when Island NT beat Slovak NT when cambrant use this tactic....
Strong confidence doesn´t help winning.
Yes, it`s a friendly season, which means the more ranking points you collect the better ranking and easier opponents you will get for next season, when World Cup qualification takes place.
During the elections I read that you are well known in Sweden as a very good tactician, which means, that it shouldn`t take much time to find the best tactic for stronger teams.
Besides in U21 seasons are different. You can´t use the current 21y old next season. Maybe the next generation is even weaker, than current one, what will you do then.

Cause we have no winger who's good enough in the U21 :/
:( and use some mid with good passing and pace?
Yes, it looks like the next generation is even weaker at the moment, but this could change. Perhaps they will be trained better... or we have the luck to get us a really good striker? I don't know now, must have faith to all the managers who train icelandic players!
We WILL meet equal countries Vilpu, but you must understand that the Iceland U21 is one of the weakest (lousy defence AND lousy attackers) in the whole Sokker-world and therefor we must meet stronger nations too... or don't play matches at all.
edit: the talk about strong confidence was only a joke Vilpu ;)

I'll promise you Assurubanipal, that if you had seen the skills of the players in our U21 you would have a big laugh. I try to do a tactic who fit this guys but it isn't easy. You couldn't just play with any tactic, the tactic must fit your squad too...
Instead of Ireland we now have settled a match agains Senegal on friday... this looks at the paper to be an easier team than Ireland, but we'll see ;)
I didnt see N21 players but i think they are simillar as my player (Sigurður Ingi Bjarkason).... :/
i remember one icelandic player last season who play for NT and it was relly nice player...
