Tomorrow we have a home match against Ireland - ranked TOP 40 in the world.
It will be a tough match for sure, they players are better in every line. Especially I afraid their fast strikers. Defenders and mids are also great - but still I am hoping to win.
Hopefully my tactics is a surprise for them.

I have to admit, Ireland was much better.
I have nothing to do against such players as they have. No tactic can help us in that situation - 50m kr defenders.. First 2 goals were long distance shots - beautiful goals. Especially the second one. In third goal we can blame Sveiny.
Too bad we didn´t score at least one goal.
Veigar Sigursteinnsson made is debut today...
Elections will start on Monday. I hope you will make right decision and reelect me back. If you do that, then it will be my last season probably, but we will see...depends how good we perform in WC.

Ireland NT manager just told that he isn`t satisfied with the result. They weren`t as much better as he hoped.

Next week we are playing against strong Switzerland.

Tomorrow we are going to play against Switzerland. I asked Shweiz manager to use our B-squads. He agreed.

This is a special match for lot of players and their managers aswell.
So I amplanning to use our second line-up.(B-team)
Some of them, for example strikers are not even good enough for our B-team.
I am using as much subs as i can.
Only 2 A-team players will play tomorrow, because we do not have enough defenders.

The aim of this match is to give motivation for managers, whose players do not play regularly for National team.

So I hope you guys won`t get mad if Switzerland is going to score 7+ goals against us. But I am playing defensively. So I am hoping to keep them under 5 goals.

I made something special as well! ;-)
I analyzed all NT-threads in Switzerland this season, and 10 managers who wrote the most posts (not spam) are having a player in our line-up! :-)

That means, I could only choose 1 player, and this will be lHofer. The other 10 are from these managers.
Only one player of them played regularly, 5 of them weren't in the NT ...

I think it will be a funny game, good luck!! :-)

Well, you had good tactics Vilpu but still the gap in skills was just too big..
I hope you will get another season with the national team. You are really innovative. Of course your group for WC-Qualifications is too hard for Island (especially Türkiye was really bad luck) but I think you could make some surprises :) Good luck.

I agree, very good tactic, but we had by far the better players, especially Polverino and lHofer made the difference ...

Anyway, I hope you can tease some of the big ones in your group, that would be a great victory!! ;-)

Thanks. The tactic I used today was meant for the tactic Schweiz used today. It was pretty logical that you will use it:)

But you players were bit too good. I didn`t expect you use such players. I thought schweiz B-team or sth like that.

If I could show some of our players skills, then you probably start laughing.

Bad luck of course, but I think I made a mistake in last season, that I played against to strong teams. I should have concentrated to improve our world ranking. And should have played in New Countries tournament, but I played in U21 WC.
And Island have played against turkey once, we lost 2:3. So maybe we can make a surprise again.

hmmm..we lost today 0:6 against no.6 NT in the world.

Something weird happened in minute 62, when Omarsson substituted our goalie out. I planned to substitute Sturlaugsson out..weird...was it really my fault.

I have no time to do conclusion, it is party time now:)
