Tomorrow we will play against USA.
Currently USA is the no.18th NT in the world, in group D they hold third place.
Last time we lost only 3:0. USA didn`t dominate as much
as I thought, the main reason for this was Lakay`s tactics, which was pretty bad.
As we might remember, they scored only on distance. There were no through passes and
hopefully my new tactic against them will work as good as the previous one.
Unfortunately tomorrow I can`t use Bent Thorsen, who is still injured. Fortunately
our other players are in great form.
USA has some losses aswell - Brad Lochrie has a slight injury, Lester Spelling is injured for 14 days,
and their star striker Charles Stokes is injured for next 3 weeks.

If anyone`s interested of buying one of the best strikers in states, then don´t
hesitate. Beautiful isn`t he:)
In two seasons our Thorsen should be as good as Pickens.

USA was just better, we had some "semi-chances", but nothing very serious.
Lakay used a new tactics as I thought. This one was much better than the tactic he used first time.
Shame about about the result, 2:0 would have been decent, but 3 stupid goals in last 17 minutes ruined everything.

At least we fought well and keep the score at 1:0 during the first 50 minutes.

but that just my i am attackin coach

I think it wasn`t defensive tactics, because I used 2 strikers and 1 wide offensive winger.
If you`ll try to play offensive football against such teams as USA, then they punish you very easily.

But that`s only my opinion and everyone has it`s own ideas how to play.

Let`s see what will happen tomorrow. firstly I thought I will use my surprise tactics against them, but I changed my mind. Gonna do it against Turkey:)
Tomorrow we have some problems with our line up. Thorsen is still injured, Vidar S. has red card, also Ludvigsen has light injury, but i am going to use him anyway.
Our submids aren`t good enough.
Tomorrow I will try a bit different tactics, defense and mid are situated as usual:)...but strikers positions are bit new and weird:D

May the Thor help us, oh no, he is Norwegian..any gods in island?:)

One more thing. I promise, that one day I will come and visit Island. Too bad Iceland is an island, because I can`t hitchhike there:D

Today at 19.00 the Island football national team will play an away WCQ match against Peru.
Previous match - Ísland 2 : 4 Perú
Our players are in great form and can`t wait to step on the pitch. No problems
with injuries. One of our best players Throsen has also recovered from a long injury. He had a plastic surgeon, Thorsen nose looks much better smaller now. Big nose bothered him during the matches. Our centre back Even Dybdal comment for upcoming match:"“Peru is very similar to Colombia. I know they are different countries.”

I will be using different tactics today. Need to take some risks. Only 2 matches left and we still have no points. We are like real life Eesti NT. Usually they play well, but don`t score any goals nor have points.

I didn`t expect a loss like this. Last Saturday this tactics worked well against Norway.

I guess the difference is that we played a U21 compared to a normal NT match. Such an offensive tactic is for the really good nations normally :)

A tough loss though, but Island still have some way to go compared to the bigger nations. And from your U21 team, i think it's looking promising for the future.

Yes, I agree.

I also think our future looks good.
I have managed to get our goalkeepers under training, defenders are REALLY good for in their age - trained very well, Sturlaugsson - megastar. Some good young strikers.
I think the new NT manager has some good material to go on with.

I won`t take part from the next elections.

I think 2 seasons is enough.
And in summer I don`t have the time.

Maybe I will candidate after next season.

It is the right time to skip at least one season, maybe more. Because Island players are in good clubs and getting trained well.

But I continue searching clubs for Island juniors.

NT news:
Bergþór Dagbjartsson is removed from NT. His owner is gone from the game, so it means he isn`t being trained. Secondly he wasn´t good enough anyway.
