I have to admit that there was incredibly strong competition to midfield. Lot of players are pretty equal.

lol...I just found out that Valtýr Guðbjartsson, who played and even scored today had unsatisfactory form. I think I just looked his value, which seemed pretty high for an Island player at that age.

Of course thanks to the owner of Konráð Hjartarson, who asked me the reason. His player is also in bad form and was worried why I chose to use Valtyr.
At least he scored:)

Tomorrow we have very important match against South Africa. One of the last two matches where we still have a chance to open our point account.

Last time we were gubbed 0:4, but we lost two players in first 18 minutes due to red cards. Despite those cards we were able to hold the score on 0:0 in the first half. Unfortunately not in the second half.

We have a serious striker problem. Stokka and Thorsen are in very low form, Emilsson is injured. Therefore young Mark Armanasson makes his debut in World Cup qualification phase. All our defenders and mids (except Ludvigssen) are healty and in good form.

Lets hope some points tomorrow.

Sad result, some bad luck...not the best tactics. Missed penalty again..Strikers think too much, when they get ball and free space. No points in this qualification phase. I am sorry. I guess I didn`t do the best job.

This season will be my last season as a Island NT manager. I will go to the army in 6 months. Also have to finish my studies in uni. But maybe you can see me here again sometime in Summer 2009:)

Why 2009?

Because I have to serve in military for 11 months. If I leave on the June 30, then I´ll be probably back In the end of may/at the beginning of June 2009.

May I ask why you're going to the army?

Military wants me so bad...My "skin" is too valuable here:)
Not to mention the fact that it`s compulsory. So we have to go unless we (males 18+) have something wrong with health.

Ah I see.. We had that system in the Netherlands too, but it's not compulsery anymore. They quit it like, I don't know, 15 years ago or so...

Island needs points to raise higher in world NT ranking table. I am planning ti use a new tactics. Will be playing something like 3-1-2-2-2.
There are some players who will play their first match for NT. Some of the players, which were chosen by the 5 best prediction competition managers, will play only one half. Don`t want use player with tragic stamina for 90 minutes. I hope you guys will understand me. It was pretty difficult to choose the line-up aswell regarding those competition players....Hopefully everything goes well.

Sorry that you have to join the army. Fortunately for us here in Ísland we don't have to join the army the reason being that there is no army and never has been. :)
